Race Sponsors and Partners
Without the kind and generous support of these companies, Lakes Sky Ultra™ would not be taking place, so a big thank you to the following:
Salewa are our main sponsor, supplying technical clothing to keep our marshals safe as the look after you in the mountains around the course.
Salewa are a well-known mountain brand, hailing from the Italian Dolomites. They’re not necessarily known for being an out and out running brand, however Salewa have been producing lightweight clothing and equipment since the early 60’s for fast and light travel through mountainous terrain. They led the way with the lightest crampon on the market in the 60’s and produced the worlds lightest climbing helmet in the mid 90’s.
Salewa say this about the LSU:
“ Based in the heart of the Dolomites, where all our products are brought to life, SALEWA is engineering the best products for use in the most demanding alpine and mountain activities
THE SALEWA ALPINE SPEED CONCEPT is all about the mountains, a great playground and a perfect place to train for awesome events like the Lakes Sky Ultra. Hiking fast or running on rocky and technical terrain. It's only about the difference in speed since the goals are the same: improve performance and endurance, get stronger physically and even mentally. To be better and to have a better life!
This is why Salewa are proud and excited to be supporting the 2016 Lakes Sky Ultra “
Lakes Sky Ultra™ are extremely pleased to announce their association with ArdBlair Sports Importers®, the UK importers of Leki Poles and are a main event partner.

Miglio Designer Jewellery is a family run business, with all the jewellery being designed and finished by hand in Cape Town, South Africa. The company was started by Jenny and Mike Miller, shortly after they met as 20 year old university students in the 1980’s. What began as a sideline hobby to make a little extra money selling resin and seashell bracelets from the boot of their VW beetle, grew into small but global company. Their daughter, Victoria recently joined them, running the UK office. All the jewellery is lead and nickel free. Pewter and brass form the base of the pieces, which are then triple plated in pure silver and often combined with genuine leather, Swarovski crystals and semi precious stones. In a market saturated with products mass produced in the east, Miglio is dedicated to uplifting their local community in South Africa where jobs are scarce and poverty rife. Jenny and Mike employ local skilled craftsmen, investing in them and the family members that inevitably follow them into the business. As the Miglio family grows globally, so too does our local one. Every piece of Miglio jewellery you own, is made with love, by caring hands, from one generation to the next.
